As we are a new company, many of our future responsibility policies are not yet active, but we are working hard towards achieving our goals.  Our intent can be defined below:

Power and Water
Our intent at Queenstown Luxury Linen, is to take energy and water efficiency seriously.   Projects for future consideration include:

• Finding ways to minimise our gas, water and electricity usage.
• Investing in heat recovery systems
• Optimising our already energy-efficient machinery.
• How to recycle water to cut down on consumption
• How to filter our wastewater to remove microplastics.
• Can we maximise production efficiency through better people management? 
• At the end of the day, all machines, heating, IT systems, and non-essential lights are completely powered down — no standby mode here!
• Ensure we are challenging our energy providers to deliver a low carbon footprint energy source.

Textiles
We partner with suppliers who share our values of responsible sourcing. By working with a small group of trusted suppliers, we maintain control over our supply chain and ensure full traceability. Many of our partners hold industry-recognized certifications like:

• Better Cotton Initiative – Supporting sustainable cotton production.
• Ethical Trading Initiative – Promoting fair and ethical practices.
• SEDEX – Advancing sustainable supply chain solutions.

Extending the Life of Textiles
We’re all about making things last. Our careful washing processes help extend the life of our textiles, and when they reach the end of their journey, our intention is to repurpose them and give them a second life by donating them to causes which can transform them into new uses. 

Chemicals
Chemicals are a necessary part of our operations, but we choose products that align with our environmental values. 

Our Team 

With regards to the planet, we encourage our staff to use community based transport, from cycling to carpooling and the use of public transport. Furthermore, our delivery routes are also meticulously planned to reduce fuel consumption and keep unnecessary trips to a minimum.

Recycling and Waste Management
Our intent is to make recycling second nature at Queenstown Luxury Linen. From dry mixed recycling to dedicated collection points in our laundry and offices, we’ll work hard to minimise waste.

In 2025, we’re introducing an environmental team champion to inspire fresh ideas and boost recycling efforts.

A Plastic-Free Future
We are starting our company with a focus on eliminating single-use plastic shrink wrap for our commercial customers, opting instead for reusable fabric bags that we wash and reuse. 

We also encourage our team to bring refillable water bottles, and are committed to using only glass in-house.

Supporting Our Community
2025 will be a busy start to our business but we are determined to work alongside charities in our local communities and create opportunities for our team to be an effective part of the sustainability community.

We care about our team and acknowledge that people are our most important asset and we commit to hiring locally, supporting our people with the best and safest working conditions and fare wages, provide proper training, up skilling and educating our team when necessary, ensuring the right equipment are our priority and generally looking after our staff as if they were part of our family.
